Anna Jaworski is a heart mom to a single ventricle survivor. The first piece as a paid author was in Critical Care Nurse. Anna then wrote Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome: A Handbook for Parents. Unable to find a publisher willing to take it on, Anna and Frank Jaworski started Baby Hearts Press, a publishing company devoted to providing resources for the CHD community.
Anna’s second book was My Brother Needs an Operation, followed closely by her first anthology, The Heart of a Mother. Over a decade later, while still homeschooling her children, Anna put together her second anthology, The Heart of a Father. Anna’s third anthology, The Heart of a Heart Warrior is scheduled for publication in September 2023.
When not writing, helping other people write their stories, or podcasting, you can find Anna in her garden tending her roses or other flowers. Or maybe you’ll find her with Frank drinking some iced tea in their dinosaur garden with their fur baby, Buck. Wherever you find her, you’re sure to be invited to stay for tea and a chance to play a game or tell a story.
