“The Heart of a Heart Warrior” Design Work

We are so excited to have a new-and-improved website for Baby Hearts press! We owe a debt of thanks to so many people who have helped us for many years, especially to Sue Dove and Brenda Vignaroli, our amazing and dedicated webmasters. Now we owe a debt of thanks to Lauren England. Unlike Sue and Brenda, both heart moms, Lauren is a heart warrior. She is also a designer and she has taken Baby Hearts Press in a whole new direction, with some assistance from Brenda and some collaboration with Anna.

Brenda, Sue, and Anna created a website for BHP so many years ago, when there were very few resources for the congenital heart defect (CHD) community.

Their heart warriors have grown up and it’s been exciting to see more resources become available as their children have aged. Baby Hearts Press has continued to grow and change over the years, too. Starting in 2023, BHP decided to open its doors to helping other authors publish their stories. Therefore, you’ll see an entire tab devoted to authors that BHP has worked with. We’re very proud of our new BHP family which includes Laura Redfern (the former Secretary for Hearts Unite the Globe), Hope Angelina (Anna’s daughter), Emily Falcon (a heart warrior), and Anna. We’re looking forward over the coming months to welcoming even more authors to let us help them write and publish their books.

Please check out our bookstore. We have the same books and lapel pins that were available at the old website, but visitors will be able to check out using PayPal, Stripe, or Apple Pay. Please check back regularly because we’ll be releasing eBooks and audiobooks this year! We also plan to start blogging consistently. Please let us know if you’d like to be a guest blogger or if you’re looking for a guest blogger. It also helps Anna stay motivated to write when you leave a comment, ask a question or even just give her a thumbs up or some love on the social media channels where you see Anna’s posts.

Finally, Anna has been hard at work on making connections in the CHD community over the last almost-three decades! She worked with two other authors, Jenny Muscatell and Amy M. Le, to create The Heart Community Collection by and for the CHD community. Please check out the website and, especially, the CHD Magazine. Anna has a regular column in the magazine, “Ask Anna,” and often contributes other pieces as well.
